The old Wisiisa nation, currently named after Jatun Ayllu T’urupalqa
Taita Ullpu was born on July 16th, 1942, in Ayllu Chuntiani (the old Wisiisa nation) currently named Jatun Ayllu T’urupalqa in the Province of NorChichas, Potosí, in Bolivia. He lived the first part of his childhood with his original Qheshwa family and grew up strongly attached to his community receiving all their ancient wisdom.
He currently teaches language and culture at UNSAM, UNLaM, CUI, Casa Cuzco, and La Sureña (municipality of Almirante Brown). He also presides over the organization of cultural dissemination Mink’akuy Tawantinsuyupaq. He was the honorable president and a member of the World Congress of the Qheshwa Language and Culture in Argentina and a member of the Council of Elders of the South Condor Confederation, where he helped to place value in the Native original people. He obtained the degree of Aysiri and with this he has guided for the last 26 years the ceremonies of Intiq Raymin, Pachamama, Umaq Raymin, among others, in Buenos Aires and other Argentinian territories.
