Major Marceliano Guerrero (Jiconero), is one of the Caciques of the Colombian Amazon who has led the spread of the uitoto cosmogony and especially the MAMBE (Coca Leaf with Yarumo ash). Marceliano has been president of CRIMA and nowadays he is in the council of elders of Latin America. The Witoto or Murui-Muinane are an ethnic or indigenous people of the Colombian and Peruvian Amazon, whose original territory was in the middle of the Caquetá River and its tributaries, and in the jungle area that goes to the Putumayo River. They speak a language of the Bora-Witoto family. Today, Uitoto indigenous groups are distributed in different locations along the Caquetá and Putumayo rivers, or in the Caraparaná and Igaraparaná rivers. There are also some Uitoto settlements in Leticia and the Orteguaza river in Alto Caquetá.
